The first thing to look at when determining what gate software to use is whether or not that software is kept up to date. You want a gate software that is going to be around for a long time, and that you won’t have to pay to upgrade. A tell tale sign of an updated software is one that is web-based, because updates can consistently be pushed to your software!
Another thing to be aware of when looking for a gate software is reliability. When you have a cloud-based gate software you eliminate some of the issues that hinder reliability. Including, eliminating the need for an onsite computer, that may cause issues if it updates, or crashes.
Reliability of your gate hardware is also important. You want to make sure have sturdy hardware that will last a long time. You also want it to be easily changed if there ever is a problem.
Finally, it is critical to choose a company that can provide you with good customer support. A lot of time support will be ticket based. This means that you will call and be issued and ticket and the company will call you back at their convenience. You want a company that can help you resolve your issue when you call needing help.
